Karl CW Mathisen new Chief Investment Officer Equities 

Karl CW Mathisen (44) will start as the new Chief Investment Officer Equities at Folketrygdfondet on 1 February 2023.

‘We are delighted to welcome Karl CW Mathisen as Folketrygdfondet’s new Chief Investment Officer Equities. With his expertise, experience and vision, he will be the right person to further develop Folketrygdfondet’s equities management, which has already produced excellent results over a long period,’ says CEO Kjetil Houg.

He comes from the job of portfolio manager in Folketrygdfondet’s Equities Department, where he has concentrated on the industry and IT sectors, in particular. He graduated with a master’s degree in business and administration (siviløkonom), specialising in finance and accounting, from BI Norwegian Business School in 2004, and has previously worked as a senior adviser at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and as a portfolio manager with Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) in London, New York and Oslo.
