When you visit our website, your browser will download “cookies”. Cookies are small text files exchanged by your browser and our website to optimise website performance. Below you will find an overview of the cookies used on our website.

Cookies on

CoreTrek AS supplies the CorePublish publication tool for our website, and is responsible for the website’s technical development, operation and maintenance. CorePublish uses the following cookies:

  • CorePublishSession. This cookie enables the publication solution to function. It is a “session cookie” that is deleted from a user’s computer when the browser is closed. This cookie contains a reference ID to a session file on the web server. The session file contains non-personal data in the case of anonymous users, although some browsers may also use it for temporary storage of, for example, form data and search text between page views. The session file is deleted automatically once the browser has been closed or inactive for 15 minutes, and is therefore not stored permanently. Only system administrators have access to these session files.
  • Ctdevicecachekey. This cookie identifies a user’s unit type and browser. The cookie has a duration of one week, and allows our website to present content for the right type of unit (PC, mobile, tablet, etc.) This cookie does not contain personal data.


Information about search terms and options used in the search function here on will be used to develop and improve the website.


We have provided functionality that allows forwarding of articles by email and sharing of articles on social media. Email addresses used when forwarding articles are not logged. The processing of data shared on social media is regulated by your agreement with the particular service in question.

Statistics and logs

When you visit our website, information is stored in a statistics database, with details of which pages you have viewed being stored in a raw data table. No personal data are stored. This information is used to generate statistics on the number of page views per object (menu item, article, file), per server and per search term. All data in the raw data table are deleted after two days, and the remaining statistics comprise only summary data that cannot be used to identify individual visitors.

We also record each visitor’s “user agent”, IP address and pages visited in web server logs. These logs are used exclusively in debugging and security work, and no data from these logs are extracted or used elsewhere. The logs are deleted after a given period (normally four weeks). Only the administrators of the web server (operations) have access to the logs.

We use Google Analytics to store visitor data. IP addresses are not stored, and we do not have the capability to match visitor statistics with individual visitors. Visitor statistics are only available to our web editors and IT department. Google Analytics also stores cookies in your browser.

Login attempts

All logins are recorded in a separate database table. The purposes are to discover unsuccessful login attempts, discover and stop attempted break-ins, and monitor when and whether a user last logged in.
The login table contains the following data: user name, date and time of login, URL used in connection with login and the user’s IP address.

We will often require personal data to be able to enter into an agreement with a supplier, including for the purposes of documenting that the agreement has been entered into, organising invoicing, general agreement follow-up, etc.

In principle, contact persons are free to decide whether they wish to provide us with personal data. In case where we obtain personal data from third parties, this primarily involves contact details and information on the contact person’s position, function and employer, if relevant. Such information may be obtained from the contact person’s employer, for example via the employer’s website.

Other contact persons
We also hold personal data linked to persons in the business, academic, public, media, political, organisational and civil society sectors for the following purposes: engaging in relevant contact regarding Folketrygdfondet’s activities; providing information about Folketrygdfondet’s activities; sending invitations, etc.

We normally obtain personal data directly from contact persons, but may also obtain personal data from other sources, including the media, websites and public bodies.

We may store data until we become aware that we no longer have a purpose for storing the data or an individual asks to be deleted.

Bulk communications
We process personal data in connection with the bulk despatch of our annual report.

We delete email addresses when informed that an address is no longer active, and stop sending communications to recipients who request this. We reserve the right to store information stating that a recipient no longer wishes to receive communications.

We do not pass contact details on to third parties.
